Congressperson

A Congressperson is a member of the House of Representatives.  Congresspersons are also called Representatives.  The U.S. is divided into Congressional Districts and each District is represented by one Congressperson. Thus, every U.S. resident has a Congressperson.

You determine your Congressperson based on your ZIP+4 code.  To find your ZIP+4 code, you can type in your address in the U.S. Postal Service zip+4 search page.

Once you have your ZIP+4 code, enter it in the Write your Representative page.  Your Congressperson's contact information should appear.

Senators

Every state has two Senators.  All residents of the state are constituents for the two Senators of the state.

To find the contact information for your Senators, select your state in the Senate web page.  Your Senators' contact information should appear.

Note:

Legislator is also a term used to refer to Congresspersons and Senators.
